Nalah Rae is our family dog who is half Beagle, half German Shepherd. Nalah turned 4 in October 2024. 4 years of having Nalah is 4 years of knowing true love, an unconditional love that isn’t easily explained. Nalah was a pup from an oopsie litter on a farm in Missouri who was free to a good home. Being an animal loving family that has always had more than one dog in our home, we knew that our hearts had room to give this pup a good home, little did we know about the absolute gift that we were receiving on the day we picked up our sweet Nalah on December 4, 2020.  Nalah Rae came to us while we were in the thickest of storms that had shaken our family to its core. Although we knew our hearts could love her, and we could give her the home that she deserved and needed, we had no idea how much we needed her. The amount of unconditional love that Nalah shows us on a daily basis is unmeasurable. To know Nalah is to know Love, an unconditional love that you can feel in the depths of your soul. Nalah has been there for the hardest of days, nurturing, guarding, calming and most of all loving us. Nalah immediately knows when something is wrong, someone isn’t feeling well or is in danger, she isn’t a guard dog in an aggressive way but she is our protector through and through. Nalah’s ability to comfort is truly something special. She wasn’t taught how to love and protect us, she just does. Nalah has walked every step through the storm with us and shown us a kind of steadfast love that we never knew possible. We strongly believe that if more humans went out into the world and made a conscious effort to Love Like Nalah, the world would truly be a beautiful place, kindness would spread, smiles would radiate and people would feel less alone. Everyone fights battles that we often know nothing about and you never know when your smile will be all that they need to turn their day around; being kind could be the sign they have been looking for to keep going.  With the mental health crisis in this country at an all time high, it's time the stigmas surrounding mental health come to an end, and it starts with love and kindness. Stand with us as we choose love, spread kindness and take a vow to go out into the world and Love Like Nalah. We believe that through the spread of kindness, love and hope, change is possible.
